Our Process

All of our quilts are painted on 3/4" MDO plywood,
 
which is made specifically for outdoor

signage. Our process involves priming

the plywood (both front and back)

with 2 coats of oil based exterior

primer. We are sure to paint all edges

of the plywood when applying the 2

coats, thus giving all edges 4 coats of

primer.  When we begin painting colors

- again with oil base, high gloss,

exterior paint - again we are sure to

bring the colors around the edges (and

each color receives 2-3 coats), leaving

all edges with at least  6-7 coats of a

primer/paint combination, to stand

up to years of sun, rain and snow.
